A little bit about me...

I grew up in Columbus, Ohio where I attended St. Charles Preparatory School. I played hockey and soccer throughout my time in High School. I still love playing and watching hockey. After high school, I wanted to get the best education for an engineering degrees possible. I wanted to learn and be challenged! I choose Purdue University for its beautiful campus, wonderful school pride, and its prestigious Aerospace program.
At Purdue, I have been involved in AIAA, Greek Life, EPICS, and aerosPACE. Within my Fraternity, Kappa Delta Rho, I have held two executive positions (Internal and External Vice President). Both of these positions taught me how to lead a group of my peers especially those I live with and deeply care about. The biggest lesson I learned while holding these positions is that you cannot please everyone with the decisions you make. Someone will always have something to say so trust your decision. Outside of academics at Purdue, I gained a passion for reading (refer to book list section) and Formula One motorsports. I fell in love with F1 since it combines competitiveness and engineering especially aerodynamics. Moreover, I enjoy spending time with my Fraternity Brothers from video games to pick up football on our lawn.

I graduated from Purdue University in May 2022. I was very proud of my accomplishments and making the deans list every semester. I was able to obtain a 3.71/4.0 GPA.

I currently work at The Boeing Company working as Software Engineer.
Below is my one-page formal Resume for download. I have also elaborated on my experiences and what I learned from those experiences on this page.

Mission Systems Software Engineer
-
Developed and tested software in the Ada Programming language implementing fuel sensors instruments and navigation calculations for embedded systems on the aircraft.
-
Collaborated with various engineers and aircrew in an Agile environment to update and maintain the navigation software and implement modern techniques to improve the F-15s capabilities.
-
Worked with integration and software architecture engineers to properly safeguard safety critical code on the flight computer.
-
Integrated software on a real-time system with hardware in the loop to ensure proper calculations and functionality of the weight and balance system on the flight computer and solving any issues found in such calculations.
I learned...
-
Integrated software systems are very complex. It is important to stay organized and always ask questions.
-
Testing requires a sense of patience and determination to solve the complex problems or issues.
-
Development of any system no matter how small requires communication.
-
To be confident in the work I have completed.
-
the complexities in test routines are crucial to verify the correct implementations of the system or update as intended by the designer.

May 2021 - August 2021
TRU Simulations + Training, Textron Aviation

Flight Dynamics Software Engineering Intern
-
Executed Aircraft Systems Acceptance Test Procedures (ATPs) noting software discrepancies on the Beechcraft King Air 360 Full Flight Simulator (FFS).
-
Performed Hardware/Software Integration testing and troubleshooting on the Cessna Citation M2 FFS.
-
Utilized a Linux-based Software Development and Automated Test System to run Qualification Test Guides (QTG) and analyze simulation flight parameter traces against Cessna SkyCourier flight test data.
-
Developed Python scripts to create the structural backbone of QTG tests, calculate the weight & balance mass properties of flight test data, and generate Sound QTG tests for the SkyCourier FFS.
-
Applied flight dynamics principles in collaboration with engineering staff to start development of a Level D flight model.
-
Gained exposure to FAA, EASA, and CAAC flight simulation regulatory standards.
I learned...
-
To ask questions to those older and more experienced than me.
-
That time is money and employers do not like to pay people for minimum work.
-
To make a good relationship with your coworkers.
-
How to fly a Beechcraft King Air.
-
There is a great deal of paper work in engineering especially when the government is involved.
-
That it is okay to ask for clarification instead of making assumptions on the work needed to be done.
-
That hardware and software integration take a great deal of collaboration.
-
To test with Hardware in the loop when possible.
-
How weight and balance calculations are an integral part of an aircrafts dynamics.

I learned...
-
To lead of a group of my peers.
-
That not everyone is going to be happy with a decision you made and you need to trust your gut / your own decision.
-
That having meetings with your peers can be very difficult to stay on track. Documentation and clear goals is a crucial part of a successful meeting.
-
That people do not always understand all the factors that go into making a decision.
-
That it is very important to have the trust of those you lead.
